Important 2010 NUC Delivery Information:

The first delivery of nucs will be available for pickup April 30, 2010, as follows:

Fri (4/30): 7:30pm until done

Sat (5/1) & Sun (5/2): 7am-9am & 7:30pm until done

Mon (5/3): 7am-9am & 7:30pm until done

All customers need to call or email the time that they will arrive for pickup, so that their nucs will be ready for them. It is important so that we can take care of everyone quickly and efficiently. We really appreciate cooperation with this.

Customers on the first load will receive an email. If the email is rejected or no email address was given, they will receive a phone call. We will call if there is no response to the email in a timely manner.

If it is going to be extremely hot in the morning, we reserve the right to suspend the pickups so that the nucs are not overheated while they are in transit to your apiary. The nucs are strong and somewhat vulnerable to extreme heat. In the past we have had some problems with overheating in these conditions and want to make sure that it does not happen again. So, with morning deliveries we ask that you please keep this in mind.

If you are going to be carrying the nuc(s) inside your vehicle, we do have mesh bags that we can put them into upon request. If you would like to have one of these mesh bags, please inform us when you make your pickup appointment.

NUC harvesting and loading is extremely weather dependent because bees only fly when the temperature is over 55°F and sunny, and there is NO RAIN!

The second and final load will be in MA around a week later (from May 1, 2010). I will be contacting the remaining people when more specific information becomes available.

Please be aware that order arrival times may overlap due to the nature of load logistics.
